Making your pledge
Create your account on the Partner Portal, enter your pledge amount, choose monthly (up to 24 months) or one-time, and pay your first installment. Subsequent monthly payments process automatically on the same calendar day each month.
[NEEDS: confirm] No formal minimum. Most pledges are between $1,000 and $50,000 over 12–24 months. Every contribution matters.
You can adjust your monthly amount, change your payment method, or pause your pledge at any time from your dashboard. To fully cancel, contact us — handled personally, no questions asked.
[NEEDS: confirm] Only with your permission. During signup you'll choose: listed on our partners wall, listed anonymously, or not listed at all. Change anytime.
Payment
Credit/debit card (Visa, MC, Amex, Discover) or bank account (ACH). Apple Pay and Google Pay supported. We process via Stripe — your card details never touch our servers.
Both work equally for you — no credit card fees are passed to you either way. But bank account (ACH) costs us only a few cents per transaction vs ~2.2% for cards. On a $50,000 pledge over 24 months, that's roughly $1,000 more staying with the campaign instead of the processor. Both are equally secure.
Immediately at checkout. Subsequent monthly payments process automatically on the same calendar day each month.
Yes — your dashboard has a "Pay early" option that processes additional installments immediately. You can also pay the remaining balance in full at any time.
Tax & legal
Yes — Beit Shvidler Cheder Chabad is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every pledge is fully tax-deductible under IRC §170(c). Your statement includes our EIN [NEEDS: EIN] and serves as your tax receipt.
Federal deductibility (501(c)(3)) generally extends to most US state taxes. Consult your tax advisor for your specific state. We can provide additional documentation if your accountant requests it.
Yes — for larger gifts, contact us directly. Donating appreciated assets (stocks, mutual funds) often provides better tax treatment than cash. We can also accept gifts via donor-advised funds.
Absolutely. Many of our partners include Beit Shvidler in their will or trust. We can provide language for your attorney — just ask.
Security
Yes. All payments go through Stripe (used by Lyft, Shopify, OpenAI, and tens of thousands of nonprofits). Your card or bank details are tokenized in your browser and never touch our servers. We're PCI-DSS compliant via Stripe.
Only you and authorized members of the building committee. Our database has per-user security rules — even other partners cannot see each other's pledges or amounts. You control whether your name appears publicly.
